A&K Energy Conservation, in partnership with Velocitor Solutions,recently rolled out their new Electronic Service Ticket Solution.A&K Energy is a leading provider of Comprehensive Lighting Maintenance, Re-Lamp, and Energy Services solutions to more than 4000 Commercial locations throughout the United States. A&K Energy was founded in 1967 by Lyn Knowles and continues 49 years later as a family owned/operated business based in Dade City, Florida.

A&K Energy Announces New Electronic Service Ticket Tool

This new Electronic Solution will allow service technicians to provide the company’s customers with a higher level of service by increasing accuracy and reducing waste.


At the start of every day, the service technician will log in to their device and view their route schedule for the day. They will be alerted to any pending service requests and new service calls can be dispatched to them via this handheld device in real time.

Inventory management has been greatly improved by requiring the service technician to scan the bar code for all material that is used during a service visit. The technician simply scans the barcode and enters the quantity used. Once the call is set to complete, inventory counts are adjusted at every level of the company’s inventory system, thus reducing the risk of inventory errors. Finally, once the service visit is completed, the system will send a copy of the service ticket directly to the store manager as well as the customer’s corporate offices via email or fax. This will enable the customer to see what was done during the service visit. The customer can also log into the customer portal and view their entire service history.

Not a “One Size Fits All Solution”

In today’s service industry there are many companies who try to develop solutions such as this for their business.


However, many simply attempt to “adapt” an existing solution to fit their needs and often find themselves with something that isn’t really better at all.
